What could become a problem is if you bought all EF-S lenses and then later decided to buy a 1D or 5D series Canon camera to take advantage of a full frame sensor. Then you would have to replace them all with EF lenses, an expensive deal under any conditions. Better to buy what second or third lens you need as an EF lens. That way your are covered any time you want to make investments in other bodies.
