Does anyone know how to do Macro photography with a Maxxum 5D?

I have a macro lens & a more standard lens for my Konica Minolta Maxxum 5D. I cannot remember how to take macro pictures with it. I don’t remember the best way to set the camera up. HELP!

Why does macro photography need more light?

I notice it especially indoors. When I zoom in on something small with my macro lens (canon ef 100mm f/2.8 non USM) I absolutely need a tripod to avoid camera shake. Is this normal? Does the USM version of my lens allow more light in?

Why are SLR and DSLR macro lenses called “macro” and not “micro”?

After all, aren’t you doing close-up shots of something? At such a minuscule level, shouldn’t these lenses be called "micro lenses"?
Just curious. BTW, I own a D80 and a Tamron 90mm macro lens. I’m trying to sell it to save up for the Nikon 105mm VR macro lens.

Do All the Macro Lenses On Canon’s Site Work For All Canon SLR Cameras?

I have a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XS and I’ve been wanting a macro lens for awhile now but while looking on Canon’s site to decide which one to get I found that I wasn’t sure which lenses worked for which camera. Are the lenses only for certain cameras? Or would I be ok with [...]
