How do I read this confounded light meter?
It looks kinda like this (Sekonic Flash Master L-358 Light Meter)
http://www.continentalcamera.com/prodpic/SL358.jpg
I tried today with bad results.
Any help would be appreciated!
I know how to use the camera, thanks. I suppose I should have verified that. The photos came out fine.
Basically, I recently got my first job and was put into this situation because I’m expected to use the light meter for every shot and I don’t usually use anything other than the camera’s. I’m not expecting you to go into details about the camera, aperture, shutter speed or iso. I just want to know how to use the hand held meter.
Thanks for being a complete penis about it, though. It really made my day.
Bad results to me = not being able to explain the meter to my other boss.
Good results to me = having the photos “okay’d” even though I used my instincts.
I have a Sekonic L-358, it is a great meter. I find it more accurate than the meter in my camera.
You need to find a manual and really study it. It is a sophisticated tool. http://www.sekonic.com/images/files/L-358.pdf
