Was I looking at Saturn or something else?
I was using the Orion skyscanner 100mm tabletop reflector telescope
focal length: 400mm
focal ratio: f/4.0
parabolic optics and with magnifications 40x and 20x.
the “Saturn” I saw was a yellow disk. I am pretty sure it was it because it did not really look like a star. I could not see the rings very well, partly because the light it produced made it blurry. That was using the 40x. It says that this telescope can see the rings. I am planning to get a barlow anyway, but was that actual saturn through this telescope? It was sort of close to the little dipper constellation. Thank you for any help.
Something Else. Saturn is currently located near Leo/Cancer, and never wanders near Ursa Minor, the home of the little dipper.
