im looking at the Manfrotto 504HD Fluid Video Head and Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 Tripod legs for dslr video?
im looking at the Manfrotto 504HD Fluid Video Head and Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 Tripod legs to buy for my canon rebel t3i to use to do videos? i think this is a sturdy bunch what do you think?
it is probably over-kill but it does have the feature of extra-long shoe mount. for any SLR or dSLR the camera with lens is front heavy, the center of balance is way ahead of the camera body. this causes fits for ordinary video heads because they need the camera center of balance to be very near the mounting location and its especially true for a counter balanced head like the 504hd. i use Manfrotto gear and have no complaints on the question of being sturdy.
