What photography equipments should I get for Prom Night/Dance?
I’m currently just using a Canon XSi with my starter kit and hoping to just rent some gears from my local photography store (Borrowlenses.com)
Any suggestions what lens/flashes I should get for dance pictures?
I was thinking of the…
Flash 580EX II
with a diffuser Gary Fong Lightsphere Diffuser
and the Canon 24-70mm f/2.8
(Or should I get the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8?)
This will be my first time taking pictures at a dance and it’s going to be my last one. (Senior Prom)
Any other suggestions will be appreciated.
The flash is a good idea, but I would get a faster lens, such as the Canon 50mm f/1.8. You probably don’t need the zoom, but getting pix in low light might be useful. As a matter of fact, that lens isn’t very expensive and would make a good permanent addition to your collection.
