Do any of the Canon PowerShot SD Model Digital Cameras allow you to use the zoom feature while in video mode?

I really like the SD970 IS model but on the reviews I’ve read, many people have said that you can’t zoom while in video mode. I’d like to be able to use this feature, but than I thought maybe none of Canon’s digital camera’s allow for that.

what’s the difference between canon ELPH digital cameras and canon A-Series digital cameras?

I want to get a canon, but I don’t understand the differences between these 2 series of canon cameras.

Do the canon digital cameras do a beauty shot (make your face look flawless and pretty) type thing like the samsung cameras do?
