Celestron 127EQ PowerSeeker Telescope

Does anyone have a Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ?

I have purchased a Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ telescope and i am new to astronomy, i would like to know if anyone has this and how good it is? Any tips? I have not had a chance to use it yet, Thank you
Hi Viola, thank you, i am just soo confused, new at this. Well ive heard that from a few people now, i will try to get a refund tomorow, should be ok.

Can you please advise me what type to get? I paid £175 uk pounds, would go to £200, any advice would be great. Thank you very much.

This is a poor choice. The aperture is small, and the mount is wobbly. For what you spent you could have gotten a much better scope.

Since you have it and have ignored advice to the contrary, your first target should be the Moon, which is bright, easy to find, and has lots of detail. Did you get some star charts? If not, pick up Pocket Sky Atlas. Learn your way around the sky.

Later: Do what we always suggest. Visit a local astronomy club and have a look at (and through) their scopes first.
