Canon Firewire Cable (4-Pin To 6 Pin)

What firewire cable to I need to connect my Canon HV30 camcorder to my Macbook Pro?

I bought a 9-pin 4-pin under the impression that it would work. It fit into the Mac Pro but not into the camcorder. The small end was slightly too big. I am under the impression now that I need a 9-pin 6-pin, and that the 6-pin should be the one that connects to the HV30. Any help is appreciated!

Your camera uses a 4-pin.

In the camera manual on page 103, refer to the section: “HDV/DV terminal”… where it says “4-pin (IEEE1394 standard), input/output”
