i im buying a canon t2i and i don’t know what type of filter or what size i should get and what it does the filter do.the lenes that im getting are Canon EF 28-105mm f/3.5-4.5 II USM Standard Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS Lens
EF 75-300mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens for Canon SLR Cameras
I prefer to have a quality UV(0) filter on all of my lenses for protection of the front element.
If you look on the front end of your lens you will see something like [52mmΦ, 55mmΦ, 72mmΦ,etc], that is the filter size needed for that lens (it also applies to the lens cap size if you lose yours).
When I buy filters, I prefer Tiffen, Hoya, or Cokin (in the order that I prefer). Some of the cheaper filters are made out of plastic (or improperly ground glass) and they can cause blurriness and distortion.
